Parking system alternatives

Compare parking systems by what your site needs

Compare parking suppliers on the equipment, software and services your site needs. Lexoh develops Security Center and manufactures parking kiosks. Use the six supplier comparisons below, or first decide whether your project needs permit access, paid parking or an existing-system replacement.

Choose the supplier you are comparing

Lexoh publishes these comparisons. They are starting points for a project review, not independent rankings. Each supplier page separates documented descriptions from details to confirm in a proposal.

Make the buying decision

Which kind of parking alternative are you looking for?

An alternative can mean a different supplier, a different architecture or a smaller scope. A permit-only entrance does not require the same system as a public paid garage. Keep the buying decision tied to users, payment, field equipment and the team that operates the site.

The Lexoh advantage: one connected site

Lexoh manufactures access and payment kiosks and develops the software that connects them to site operations. Lexoh uses a hybrid architecture: cloud management plus an offline mode, with a mesh network that lets site devices communicate without internet.

  • Security Center brings sites, devices, users, access events, video and transactions into one operating environment.
  • RFID, UHF, QR, PIN and license plate recognition support different user groups through the selected readers and cameras.
  • Security Center combines camera views, access events and device controls so operators can investigate an arrival and act from the same environment.

Give every supplier the same requirements

Compare architecture, kiosks, barriers, identification, payment, permits, video, APIs and multi-site administration as separate requirements. Add installation, support, hardware ownership and lifecycle terms. A checkbox is useful only when the proposal identifies the included configuration and evidence.

  • Write the journey and expected result before naming a technology.
  • Distinguish a confirmed feature from an option or item awaiting review.
  • Use the same evaluation period for recurring services.

Choose the operating model before replacing the brand

A barrier controls a passage; a credential identifies a user or vehicle; a payment workflow settles a charge. Changing one does not automatically replace the others. Use the existing equipment and credential guides when the real decision is a gate type, identification method or payment channel.

  • Compare gates, barriers and bollards by their physical role.
  • Compare license plate recognition (LPR), ultra-high-frequency (UHF) RFID tags, RFID cards and QR codes against actual arrivals. RFID means radio-frequency identification.
  • Define staff response and exception handling for the selected model.

Compare a supported upgrade with a new installation

Ask the current supplier what can remain and what needs a supported upgrade. Compare that scope with a complete replacement from Lexoh or another shortlisted provider. Include the cost and responsibility of moving active access permissions, accounts and operating records; a new kiosk price alone does not describe the transition.

  • Inventory devices and software versions.
  • Identify the data that can actually be exported.
  • Agree acceptance tests and a fallback before changing the live operation.

05

Turn the comparison into a witnessed demonstration

For an illustrative mixed-use garage, give each shortlisted supplier the same three journeys: an employee with an expired permit, a paid visitor whose plate is unreadable at exit, and a tenant validating a guest. Define the expected charge, access decision and staff action before the demonstration. These are evaluation scenarios, not claims that every supplier or configuration supports the same workflow.

  • Ask the demonstrator to identify each reader, controller, payment interface and software module used.
  • Follow the resulting visit, payment and operator records; note which steps need manual intervention.
  • Record included equipment, optional modules, unresolved items and acceptance conditions beside the proposed cost.

Comparing parking suppliers

No. They are comparisons published by Lexoh to help prepare a project evaluation. They distinguish documented positioning from scope that must be confirmed and do not assign unsupported scores.

No. It means the available evidence does not establish the exact configuration or contract needed by your project. Ask the supplier to demonstrate and document it.

Use the parking system cost guide to prepare a common equipment, installation, software and service schedule. Obtain comparable written proposals for the actual site.

Identify where access decisions, payments and records are processed. Ask which functions remain available during each relevant interruption and how records reconcile afterward. Compare the proposed configuration, maintenance responsibilities, backup and recovery requirements; an architecture label alone does not establish the result.

Describe the site, entry and exit lanes, user groups, payment rules and required opening date. Include the equipment models and software versions you hope to retain, required interfaces and the desired installation and support scope. A site plan and a redacted requirement schedule help establish what must be included.
