Pros and cons for your project

Compare the advantages that matter to your site. Lexoh brings its kiosks, access controls, video and offline device communication together in one ecosystem.

Lexoh

Advantages

  • Hardware and software together: Lexoh manufactures its kiosks and develops Security Center, connecting physical equipment with day-to-day operations.
  • Hybrid architecture: cloud management and an offline mesh network keep local device communication separate from the internet connection.
  • One operating view: sites, devices, users, events and transactions are managed within Security Center.
  • Choice of credentials: combine RFID, UHF, QR, PIN and license plate recognition with the readers and cameras selected for the site.
  • Video alongside access: operators can review a camera view and the associated device controls in the same environment.
  • A broader site platform: parking, doors, gates and connected site equipment form part of the Lexoh ecosystem.

Trade-offs and project considerations

  • Replacing another system requires an equipment and data migration review; existing terminals and accounts are not automatically interchangeable.
  • Offline device communication does not by itself establish offline bank-card authorization or remote cloud access; those services depend on their own connections and configuration.

Scheidt & Bachmann

Advantages

  • The entervo portfolio offers on-premise and cloud-native products.
  • entervo infinite publishes web payments, centralized management and self-service account functions.

Trade-offs and project considerations

  • Features and infrastructure differ between entervo.core and entervo infinite; the selected product determines the migration and operating scope.

01

Identify the entervo product being compared

Record the installed version, software modules and hardware generation, or the exact proposed product for a new project. Ask the supplier which upgrade path is supported and what changes with a move between architectures. An older installation should not be used to describe all current Scheidt & Bachmann products.

  • Separate the equipment already installed from the equipment in the new proposal.
  • Confirm which data can be migrated and which existing devices can be retained.
  • Confirm who owns local infrastructure and updates.
02

Test the access and payment rules your site uses

For a paid garage, test the tariff and validation rules that matter to the property. For an employee or tenant facility, test validity changes and administrative permissions. Include payment correction, an expired right and assistance so the evaluation covers daily exceptions as well as normal entry.

  • Use the same user records and visit scenarios, including a plate change and an expired permit.
  • Verify the resulting operating and transaction records.
  • Specify any required export or third-party interface.
03

Evaluate the replacement against a supported upgrade

A replacement can be justified by an operating requirement, lifecycle plan or project scope, but it is not automatically preferable. Compare an entervo upgrade with a Lexoh proposal over the same period. Include retained equipment, software, payment configuration, migration, training and the written service plan.

  • Obtain a model-by-model reuse decision.
  • Assign responsibility for transferring data and reconciling financial records.
  • Agree the acceptance tests and fallback procedure before scheduling the change.
04

Example demonstration: a validated stay across two sites

Use an illustrative operator with two garages and a tenant who validates visits at only one site. Compare the proposed entervo product and Lexoh configuration with the same visit, validation limit and operator permissions. This exercise identifies configuration requirements; it does not assume that every edition includes them.

  • Apply the agreed validation at the first site and verify the resulting charge.
  • Try the same entitlement at the second site and show the agreed refusal or separate tariff.
  • Export or display the visit, validation and payment records with the responsible operator identified.

Scheidt & Bachmann alternative questions

No. Its current product information distinguishes on-premise entervo.core and cloud-native entervo infinite. Compare the exact product offered for the project.

No drop-in equivalence is claimed. Review the supported hardware interfaces, data transfers and required workflows for the installed product and proposed Lexoh configuration.

Use the same approved and refused access cases, tariffs, validation, corrections, operator permissions, interruption behavior and reporting requirements. Include the equipment and service scope needed to deliver those results.

Identify where the operating software and records run, who maintains them, and which entry, exit and payment functions remain available during a network interruption. Include backup, recovery, updates and operator access in the proposed service scope, then test the selected configuration.

Lexoh uses a hybrid architecture: cloud management plus an offline mode, with a mesh network that lets site devices communicate without internet. This provides local communication between devices during an internet interruption. Payment authorization and remote services have separate connectivity requirements.
