Lexoh project

Boat-wash and launch access in Memphrémagog

The Memphrémagog Lexoh project connects four boat-wash stations and ten launch sites with payment, RFID cards, QR coupons, barriers and cloud management. It brings physical access and online registration into a network serving lakes Memphrémagog, Massawippi, Magog and Lovering.

Connected solution

Connect the wash point, the credential and the barrier.

The project combines equipment at the water’s edge with registration and access rules. The MRC’s August 2025 procurement notice describes the regional modernization of wash stations and launches; it provides the public context for this work.

MRC modernization notice — August 2025 (French)
  1. 01
    Four multiservice wash stations

The scope covers kiosks at La Capitainerie, Parc Lôbadanaki, Cedarville and Plage Massawippi.

  2. 02
Ten launch sites and their barriers

The launch network includes eleven new barriers and the existing barrier reused at Quai Bryant in Austin. A site can have more than one controlled point.

  3. 03
    Twelve control enclosures

Control enclosures connect the accepted RFID cards and QR coupons to the launch access points.

  4. 04
    Registration and access permissions

Online registration, payment, annual cards and QR coupons are associated with the access rights configured for each lake. Custom RFID cards are printed on both sides.

  5. 05
    Ten surveillance cameras

Cameras support remote viewing and recording at designated wash stations and barriers.

  6. 06
    Ayer’s Cliff parking

An additional barrier with automatic exit serves the parking facility and helps organize the direction of traffic.

Planning an intermunicipal network

Agree on the rules between sites.

For a comparable network, map each wash point, lake and launch before configuring permissions. The following decisions help municipalities define a shared system while retaining their operating responsibilities.

  1. 01
    Proof and destination

List which wash proofs each launch accepts, their validity period and the rules for entry and boat retrieval. Test accepted, expired and wrong-destination credentials.

  2. 02
    Municipal responsibilities

Identify who approves annual cards, changes fees, handles exceptions and assists visitors. Define which staff can view or change records for each municipality.

  3. 03
    Equipment and handoff

Distinguish launch sites from individual barriers and control points. Record the reused equipment, test each lane and agree on support and outage procedures before opening.

Territorial network

Four washing locations and ten launches are grouped below by municipality or operator. The number of list entries is not the number of individual access points.
