Lexoh project

Boat-launch access at Lac-Édouard

The Lexoh project at Lac-Édouard combines an LPK-128 payment kiosk, an LCB-30 controller, a barrier and two PTZ cameras with cloud recording. Online resident registration, custom RFID cards and call-centre assistance connect the application process with access to the municipal boat launch.

Connected solution

Registration, lane equipment and assistance.

The project links an administrative process with equipment at the access point. The municipality manages eligibility, while the installed system supports the configured access and payment journey.

  1. 01
    Payment and physical access

One LPK-128 payment kiosk, one LCB-30 controller and one barrier form the lane equipment.

  2. 02
    Resident credentials

Online registration supports access-card requests. The project includes custom RFID cards printed on both sides.

  3. 03
    Video and assistance

Two PTZ cameras provide cloud recording. PTZ refers to pan, tilt and zoom. A call-centre service supports users who need assistance.

An application is reviewed before a card is issued.

Lac-Édouard directs applicants to its Lexoh portal. Its resident-card instructions describe three stages:

  1. 01
    Register

Create an account and identify the applicant, boats, trailers and vehicles.

  2. 02
    Review

The municipality checks the request and assigns a card number.

  3. 03
    Receive the card

Choose municipal pickup or postal delivery. Eligibility and applicable charges follow municipal instructions.

Planning a comparable municipal access point

Connect the application rules to daily operations.

A similar project needs an agreed process for approval, card management and on-site assistance. Define the following responsibilities before commissioning.

  1. 01
    Eligibility and approval

Identify who reviews applications, what evidence is required and how an applicant learns the decision. Separate account creation from permission to use the entrance.

  2. 02
    Card lifecycle

Define who issues, replaces and revokes a card. Test the effect of a revoked credential at the reader and document the procedure for an owner or address change.

  3. 03
    Operations and support

Specify who may view camera recordings, the retention period and the assistance contact. Agree what the operator does when a visitor cannot pay or present an accepted credential.
