Parking access modernization at Plaza Laurier
At Plaza Laurier in Montréal, Lexoh replaced the parking facility’s standalone controllers with a cloud architecture. The project covers two exterior entry points and one interior exit, with HID Signo 20K card readers and a Lexoh input/output module for garage-door control.

Standalone controllers were replaced with Lexoh cloud controllers to centralize parking access management.

Planning an access upgrade
Separate the reader, permissions and door command.
A comparable retrofit starts with the existing doors, operators, wiring and credentials. Reader compatibility, controller configuration and operating rules need their own checks before equipment is selected.

Reader-to-controller communication
OSDP means Open Supervised Device Protocol. For an encrypted connection, confirm compatible hardware and that Secure Channel is enabled and tested; the reader model alone does not verify the installed configuration.

Card issuance and permissions
List the card technologies already in use, who issues and revokes cards, and which entrances each user may access. Include a lost-card test in acceptance.

Garage-door interface
Document the operator model, control inputs, door-status feedback and safety devices. Agree which components can be reused, who performs the wiring and how the completed interface will be tested.
