A campground access control system manages who can enter and use the campground and its amenities — automatically, without staff intervention. When a guest books a site, they receive a digital credential (typically a QR code or mobile app pass) that is valid only from their check-in date to their check-out date. On arrival, they scan or tap at the barrier gate and are let in. Their vehicle plate is logged and associated with their assigned campsite. Amenity gates (pool, laundry, clubhouse) use the same credential. On departure day, all access automatically expires. You can configure the guest's pass to open the main campground entry gate and also the pool gate, laundry room, and clubhouse — while restricting access to staff-only areas like the maintenance shed. Access to each zone can be time-limited within the guest's stay (e.g., pool only open 8am–10pm, laundry 7am–11pm). On the day of checkout, all zones are automatically revoked simultaneously. This eliminates the need to collect physical wristbands or key cards from departing guests.

Lexoh's barrier gate controller operates fully offline. The guest's QR code or mobile app credential is cached on the gate controller from the moment the booking is confirmed — so even if there is no internet and no staff on site, the guest scans their code and the gate opens. The entry event is logged locally and synced to the cloud dashboard when connectivity returns. For extra security, after-hours access can be limited to a designated entrance, while other interior zone gates remain closed until morning.

For campgrounds that offer annual or seasonal memberships, Lexoh manages the credential lifecycle automatically. When a member purchases their annual pass, they are enrolled in the system and receive an app invitation or RFID fob. The credential activates on the season start date and expires on the season end date — without any manual renewal by staff. Members can have different access zones than daily guests (e.g., access to the boat launch, access to the members-only section). Mid-season, managers can suspend or upgrade a member's access from the cloud dashboard.
